Kanonaden Entreprenad Mälardalen AB, a subsidiary of AF Gruppen ASA, has secured a contract valued at approximately $12.3 million for groundwork and concrete work in Hamra, Sweden. The agreement was signed with Linxon Sweden AB, acting on behalf of the national grid operator Svenska kraftnät.

The project involves the reconstruction of an existing transformer station and the construction of a new 400 kV transformer station, supporting ongoing upgrades to Sweden’s electricity transmission infrastructure. Completion is expected by 2030.

The contract strengthens AF Gruppen’s position in the Nordic infrastructure and energy sectors, where the company continues to participate in long-term grid modernization and large-scale civil engineering projects.

The Stockholm-area assignment adds to AF Gruppen’s growing Swedish portfolio and aligns with national efforts to improve grid capacity ahead of increasing demand for renewable energy integration.
